Child Welfare Services

AI-based predictive algorithms are being used or are being considered for use across all of these everyday public sector decisions. For example, child welfare agencies have been exploring administrative data to assist workers' decision making (e.g. whether to investigate a family about child abuse or neglect). In this work, we conducted design workshops with stakeholders of the child welfare system to image new uses of data and technologies in the child welfare system.
